Hurry, Limited time

Limited availability Our Tree and Shrub deep root treatment program.

Black Star Pest Solutions is pleased to offer deep root fertilization and pest treatment for your trees and shrubs. Deep root treating is a process in which a large spike is plunged into the tree or Shrub’s root zone.  Then a fertilizer and systemic pesticide is pressure pumped through the spike into the soil of the root zone.  The pressure encourages the spread of nutrients and Systemic insect control materials throughout the root system. This is the most effective and efficient delivery of nutrients and pest protection for your plants.  The holes also provide a way for oxygen to reach the root system.

Systemic insect control: Once injected into the root zone, the plant uptakes the insecticide and will keep it in its system for up to 8 months.   The natural action of the plant moves the treatment from the ground throughout the branch, leaf and root systems.

The REACTION from your Plants

Deep, Rich Color Due to Fertilization

Healthier with fewer pests

No sticky drips or buildups

Happier appearance

Increased Vigor

Deep root treatment has been shown by University studies to increase the growth rate of trees by 20% or more by supplying all the nutrients the tree will need for healthy growth.

Using this method to apply the systemic pesticide eliminates the use of spray machines, which can drift the pesticides to unwanted surrounding areas. The chemical used, is retained in the tissues of the plant from root to leaf, working for a period of up to 12 months.

Our Tree and Shrub deep root treatment program works by placing the specialized mix of nutrients and systemic pesticide right where they are needed; into the plant's root zone, and for best results should be done Late January and early February.

Root feeding strengthens trees and helps the tree to cope with drought. A larger, healthier root system can draw more water from a greater area.

Deep root feeding is especially important in the city where there is no new source for nutrients other than the occasional broken sewer line and in suburbs where leaves are removed that would normally compost and feed the roots of the tree.

These applications are timed for best results.  It is important to remember that tree roots remain active until the soil drops below 40-degrees Fahrenheit – In our area, the root zone for trees in your yard may not reach this low temperature zone at all or if it does reach that level it maybe very briefly.  We see new budding appear on trees even during the depths of our winter in December and January. Deep root treatment in late January or early February will encourage Systemic material uptake, tip, leaf, and flower growth.   Deep root Treatment in the fall tends to develop roots.
